JNPT organises Training Programme on ‘Manners and Etiquettes’ for team

Navi Mumbai – Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT), India’s No. 1 Container Port, has stressed on effective mannerism and behavioristic skills for its team through a one-day training program ‘Manners & Etiquettes’ at its JNPT-APEC Port Training Centre, Sheva, Navi Mumbai. The training program was conducted by Dr Jayashree Fadnavis of Designer Learning System, who imparted various learning processes to more than 20 participants through group activities and individual actions.

The focus of this program was mainly to train Port professionals towards learning good manners and display standard etiquettes that can help in defining their personality and result into productive output. Dr Fadnavis showcased some of the basic skills through participants’ activities and role play that can enable them learn fast and implement in their daily lives. Skills such as- Greeting people with firm hand shake, look presentable for various functions or events, responding phone calls, effective communication skills and how to look confident in representing own organization- were displayed through various activities. She also shared that professionals can maintain good relations with all colleagues by not becoming too personal and respect each individuals with all integrity. 

The training programme was conducted in an interactive and participative manner and was appreciated by all the officers present in the workshop. The training program has been designed in such a manner so that it can help in building tomorrow’s effective leaders out of the lot.
