The Shipping Ministry, Govt. of India, has given directions to all the Major Ports and subordinate PSUs to observe Swachhta Pakhwada from 16th to 31st March, 2017. As a part of implementation of directives and Swachh Bharat Missio, all departments of KPT have made their internal action plans, which includes disposal of old records, extensive repairs & cleaning of toilets, beautification of parks / lawns, paving of road widths, disposal of e-waste, garbage, etc.
Shri Ravi Parmar, Chairman, KPT, took a meeting with Senior Officers of Port Trust on 16/03/2017 and instructions were issued for proper implementation of the Swachh Bharat Programmes. The team physically inspected the Administrative Office and premises to take stock of the areas, which needed special attentions, during the Swachhta Pakhwada. The Port Trust would be arranging rallies, workshops training etc., to sensitize the people on the necessity of maintaining cleanliness.
The concerned officials are closely monitoring the daily activities and report along with photographs is being sent to the Ministry on a daily basis.
