HAROPA attends the world top exhibition for seafood professionals

HAROPA, the leading French port for import-export of fresh temperature-controlled products (reefer), is present at the SEAFOOD exhibition which takes place from 25 to 27 April in Brussels (Brussels Exhibit – Hall 4 – Stand 6261). Being the first world’s seafood event with around 1,700 professionals as exhibitors and more than 145 countries represented, this event is an opportunity for the three ports of the Seine corridor - Le Havre, Rouen and Paris - to emphasize their offer in terms of import-export of reefer products.
HAROPA: ≠ 1 reefer-dedicated port marketplace:
 550,000 cu. m. of warehousing at positive (from 0° to 15°) or negative temperature (down to ‐26°)
 Remote monitoring 24/24 of the containers with modem at le Havre terminals
 3,000 reefer sockets along the Seine corridor
 100 container or conventional reefer road hauliers
 50 dedicated freight forwarders
 Skilled service providers for refrigerated containers (repairs, cleaning, maintenance)
Unique in France: PIF-PEC-PED-Customs, a single centre for all checks
The BIP (Border Inspection Post), or PIF in French, the Common Entry Post (PEC in French) and the Designated Point of Entry (PED in French):
 ≠ 1 French centre for veterinary and phyto-sanitary inspection
 99.4 %: acceptance rate in 2016 for products of plant and animal origin (BIP, CEP and DPE)
 non-stop opening of the CEP and BIP 5 days/week: 8.00 a.m. - 4.30/6.00 p.m.
Simplified customs clearance procedure for the products subjected to the veterinary inspection:
 reverse charge procedure for VAT (simpler, more economical and more competitive)
 e-declaration of goods
 automatic interconnection between DELT@ and TRACES
