JNPT observed a week-long Vigilance Awareness Week

Navi Mumbai - Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT), India’s No.1 Container Port, observed a week-long Vigilance Awareness Week at JNPT headquarters from 31st October to 5th November.

During this week various competitions like Essay writing, Slogan Writing and Elocution took place at various schools, colleges and at JNPT. A pledge was administered to all employees on 29th October’2016. On 3rd November’2016, an interactive meeting was held with port users, headed by Dr. C. Unnikrishnan Nair, Chief Manager (Traffic), JNPT, to exchange suggestions & grievances for improvement in systems and the likely solutions thereof. JNPT employees witnessed the workshop on 4thNovember presided by Shri R.K. Aherwar, Controller & Stores (Retired) -South Western Railway on “Preventive Vigilance Measures”. Apart from this, JNPT also organised contest on “Promoting integrity and eradicating corruption” on one of the top radio channels, namely Red FM.

The eventful week ended on 05th November with a valedictory function, held at JNPT premises, in where prizes were distributed to all respective winners of various competitions. The Chief guest of the event, Shri Neeraj Bansal, Deputy Chairman, JNPT addressed the function and emphasised that “each employee should be vigilant and committed to up-hold high standards of honesty and integrity at all times, and work together to eradicate corruption from the workplace and subsequently from the country”. Shri Shishir Srivastava, IRS, Chief Vigilance Officer, JNPT also attended the event among JNPT employees and Staff members.
