Vigilance Awareness Week-2016 by Vigilance Department in Kandla Port Trust

In order to commence Vigilance Awareness Week to be observed from 31st October to 5th November, 2016 directed by Central Vigilance Commission, New Delhi, the Vigilance Department, Kandla Port Trust, has arranged an event of oath taking by officers and employees of Kandla Port Trust on today i.e. 29-10-2016 at 11.00 AM. The Pledge, as circulated by CVC, New Delhi, was administered by Shri Shri Ravi Parmar, IAS, Chairman, Kandla Port Trust and in the Pledge taking event, Shri Alok Singh, Dy. Chairman, other Head of Departments, Senior Officers and employees, have participated and a Pledge was taken as a mark of commencement of Vigilance Awareness Week-2016.  Accordingly, the Pledge circulated by the Central Vigilance Commission was administered and taken by all the departments/offices(premises) of Kandla Port Trust.

Moreover, this year the Central Vigilance Commission has chosen the theme “Public participation in promoting Integrity and eradicating Corruption”, to give and emphasize and focus to the citizens and students of the country. The CVC has insisted to organize various seminar/debates, quiz, workshops, for wider dissemination and awareness amongst citizens as well as employees and families of the organisation. Accordingly, Vigilance Department, Kandla Port Trust under the able guidance of Shri Shishir Srivastava, IRS, Chief Vigilance Officer, Kandla Port Trust, has also arranged/organized various events  for the students in consultation with few local and Bhuj based school management and about more than 200 students have participated such a meaningful campaign  of eradication of corruption as envisaged by CVC, New Delhi.

In addition, the Vigilance Department, Kandla Port Trust, has also arranged various awareness programmes for employees and family of the organisation during the Vigilance Awareness Week.

The Vigilance Department, KPT, has also decided to forward a message of CVC, New Delhi, regarding a new concept of           e-Pledge to be taken by the citizen individually and by the non-government organisations, corporates, private sectors in the local area to participate in the Vigilance Awareness campaign by taking e-Pledge during 31st October to 5th November, 20016 by visiting website www.cvc.nic.in.

Shri A.R. Brahmbhatt, Dy. CVO(I/c) and his entire  team of Vigilance Department, KPT, has  taken  a lots of efforts to make the observance of  Vigilance Awareness Week-2016 more effective and to fulfil the objective of envisaged by the CVC for promoting integrity and eradicating Corruption.
